The first English Speaking Day of this academic year– A Resounding Success!

The first English Speaking Day of the year was held on 15 October 2025, and it was truly a day to celebrate! Building on last year’s success, this year’s event was even more impactful, with nearly 30 enthusiastic English Ambassadors from S2 to S6 helping to cultivate a vibrant English-speaking environment on campus.

Prior to the event, the English Ambassadors gathered for a preparation meeting on 10 October to discuss their goals and brainstorm ways to support their peers. Their commitment and enthusiasm set the tone for the day and ensured its success.

On the big day, the covered playground came alive with energy as S1 and S2 students eagerly participated in English conversations. The theme of the day was "Empathy," encouraging students to reflect on care and understanding in daily life. The English Ambassadors actively engaged with the students, guiding them through friendly and supportive interactions that made speaking English fun and meaningful.

After the event, the Ambassadors held an evaluation meeting on 17 October to reflect on their experiences and explore ways to further improve. They shared observations and discussed strategies, such as providing prompts and follow-up questions, to help students elaborate more in conversations. Their dedication to enhancing the English-speaking culture at our school was truly commendable.

We are incredibly proud of the S1 and S2 students for their enthusiasm in practicing English and grateful for the English Ambassadors’ creativity and commitment to bringing the language to life.
