The Heats and Final of the Annual Athletics Meet were successfully held on 7 and 13 April 2017 respectively at Yuen Long Stadium. With all the athletes and cheering teams demonstrating their energy and zest, the stadium was full of joy and excitement. Efforts made by athletes and House officials could be seen from the excellent results and the beautiful decorations in the stadium respectively. The highlight of the meet was the Parent-Teacher-Alumni-Students 4 X 100m Relay. The team led by alumni Ms. LAM Lok-shan, Mr. TAM Siu-hin and our student representatives WAN Wai-kong from 4A and LAW Chun-ho, James from 2D won a beautiful victory in the race. Boys Individual Champions were 5A CHEUNG Ho-yeung (A Grade), 3C TAM Kin-wo (B Grade) and 2D LAW Chun-ho, James (C Grade). Girls Individual Champions were 5C MOK Chui-yin, Karen (A Grade), 4C CHEUNG Wing-shuen (B Grade) and 2B LAM Yat-long, Gina (C Grade). It is really uplifting and encouraging to see MOK Chui-yin, Karen heathly the past records in 100-metre and 200-metre races. Her time was 12”80 and respectively. Congratulations to Karen! The Overall Championship and the Overall Girls Championship went to Honesty House. Virtue House won the Overall Boys Championship and were the first-runner up of the Best Cheering Team. Wisdom House won the Best Cheering team award and Progress House won the Best Decoration Awrd. Mr. CHAN Tsz-cho, our former teacher, now is the Assistant Principal of South Tuen Mun Government Secondary School currently was the Guest of Honour. Mr. CHAN shared his anecdotes in playing sports with students and delivered important messages about leading a healthy life. The Annual Athletics Meet ended successfully with joy and laughter.
